DOING BUSINESS IN CHINA
with host Sandy Dhuyvetter
Sandy Dhuyvetter named NBTA International
Correspondent
(July 18, 2008 – San Diego, CA) –
TravelTalkMEDIA announced today that Sandy
Dhuyvetter, Executive Producer and Host of
TravelTalkMEDIA, RADIO and TV, has been
named the National Business Travel
Association’s International Correspondent
for the NBTA International Convention &
Exposition, to be held in Los Angeles at the
end of this month.
It's another perfect
pairing. Sir Richard
Branson, maverick,
visionary, and founder
of Virgin — one of the
most loved brands on the
planet — meets Scott
Duffy, ultra–successful
high–tech entrepreneur
and closet Neil Diamond
fan. Sparks fly. A
business is born. And
the way private charter
air travel is bought and
sold is never the same
again. Virgin Charter is
made up of former NASA
rocket scientists (for
real), engineers, and
razor–sharp business
guys and gals from
Google, Yahoo!, eBay,
Expedia and more.

Dennis Owen,
Cathay Pacific Vice
President Marketing for
the Americas
Segment 10 - approx 9
min.
American Roy C Farrell
and Australian Sydney H
de Kantzow founded
Cathay Pacific Airways
in Hong Kong on 24
September, 1946.
Initially based in
Shanghai, the two men
eventually moved to Hong
Kong and founded Cathay
Pacific Airways. Legend
has it that Farrell and
a group of foreign
correspondents thought
up the airline's unique
name in the bar at the
Manila Hotel! The new
company began to operate
passenger flights to
Manila, Bangkok,
Singapore and Shanghai.
Expansion was fast and,
in 1948, one of Hong
Kong's leading trading
companies, Butterfield &
Swire (today known as
the Swire Group) took a
45% share in the
company. The 1960s
represented our coming
of age. Between 1962 and
1967, business grew at
an average rate of 20
percent a year.
