What the heck is an ARC number, anyway?

August 30, 2009 on TravelTalkRADIO
from the NBTA Convention and Expo

Michael Premo,
Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Customer Care, Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC)

In order to issue tickets for some 180+ airlines, travel agents must first be vetted and accredited by the Airline Reporting Corporation. For 25 years, ARC has provided a unified channel for the flow of financial transactions and data between travel agents and the air carriers. If your travel agent doesn’t have an ARC number, you might want to find out why!

Kevin Maguire, President, National Business Travel Association

Many folks know that the NBTA has about 4,500 members here in the US, but are somewhat amazed to learn that the organization also counts nearly 30,000 additional members around the world. Kevin fills us in on NBTA’s global outreach and international partnerships. He’ll also let us know what Bill Clinton, Sir Richard Branson, Capt. Sully Sullenberger and Olympic medalist, Dara Torres, all have in common this August. Namedropper!
