I hope your week went well. I had the pleasure of taking the most amazing plane ride this week. With our son off to college again in San Francisco, we once kept a tradition that started his freshman year that includes a ride by car with me and his dog, Clyde Almighty, from our home in San Diego to the Bay Area. Once we arrive, we eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant, The Hot Wok, and then I hop Southwest Airlines back to San Diego the next morning. As a parent, it affords me precious time with our son and it allows us quality time together while enjoying a short adventure, even if it is only an 8 hour trip. It's still a delightful road trip filled with music, fast food and great conversation.

I had one more surprise when I left San Francisco. The weather that morning was clear as a bell. I was thrilled to see I had the foresight to pack my camera!  Above is a photo I snapped while taking off and circling around SFO. If you know the Bay Area, you will see BART on its merry way just below the wing and right above the winglet is SFO with Oyster Point stretching out in the Bay to the left of the wing tip.

Once back in the studio, our team huddled together to get ready for a very important show this week that will highlight a worldwide tourism investment summit in Korea this coming month. We'll also look into medical travel around the world and how the insurance industry is approaching this coming trend. We'll talk about Jordanian leadership in the Middle East and we'll even chat with Southwest Airlines about their commitment to not "nickel and dime" their passengers. We'll ask them, "How do you do do that?".

Be sure to listen to His Excellency, the Senator from Jordan, Akel Biltaji on the show this week. The Senator will talk about the Seven Pillars of Tourism and why destinations that successfully implement these principals are ripe for investment. He will then explain why the World Tourism & Investment Summit in Korea next month is a must attend event. For more information on the Summit, scroll to the bottom of the page.

Talk to you Sunday and Safe Travels!
