"Dear Sandy,
Your interview with Don Cohn about Beijing Walks was a delight from start to finish. Thank you for interviewing him, and for all your generous praise of Odyssey Books. It is truly gratifying to encounter someone who appreciates all the effort involved in creating a book that combines valuable content with spectacular photography. Thank you!"

Welcome to this week's TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter,
From economics to promoting peace, there is no other industry in the world  that plays such an important role as tourism.

Last week, we were in South Korea bringing you the news from the World Tourism & Investment Summit. We met with developers, investors and destination managers who believe investing in tourism is a key element in creating market stability around the world. I hope you will be able to listen to this week's program where we once again bring to you tourism professionals and economic experts to talk about the future.

This coming week, I am traveling to Stenden University in Leeuwarden, in the Netherlands where I will be joining old friends and meeting new colleagues from around the world whose primary focus is promoting tourism as a means of obtaining global peace. Developing countries as well as organizations like Stenden University and the International Institute for Peace through Tourism will be bringing the brightest minds to the table for three days of presentations and discussions.

We have developed a short two minute video to introduce the American Indian story at the World Tourism & Investment Summit. We also created a short video on Egypt and it's wonders from trip in 2006. I look forward to bringing you the latest stories relating to tourism and travel  in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned and safe travel to you all,

Sandy

Nick Gosling, TravelTalkMEDIA staff writer attended the 11th annual Industry show in Thailand.

(October 16, 2008) Bangkok, Thailand
– “New Frontiers – Optimise Returns” was the theme of this year’s IT&CMA (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia) and 11th CTW (Corporate Travel World) Asia-Pacific, held last week at the Bangkok Convention Centre (BCC) at CentralWorld.
Reporting for TravelTalkMEDIA, I arrived in Bangkok on October 6th at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

A modern airport, a walk through Suvarnabhumi’s terminal reveals plenty of Thai statues and glittering scaled-down temples.
