Welcome to this week's TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter

This week we pointed Ol' Blue (one of the biggest, oldest and most comfortable Cadillacs imaginable) to Hollywood, California for a road trip to the annual PhoCusWright  travel technology conference.

We called the Belamar Hotel, our home away from home in Manhattan Beach near LAX, to arrange for a 3 day visit as we continue our quest for great content and relevant news to share with our audiences.

Thanksgiving: A US holiday devoted to being grateful for the many blessings in life.  A tradition started by the American Indians and early settlers in the United States.

Sandy and Patrick met Deni Leonard (second from left) and Archbishop Richardson (left) in Hermosa Beach, California to discuss plans for the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner celebration this week in San Francisco.

This week we will introduce you to a new company called TVtrip.com we met at the PhocusWright conference. Most of us have felt a little bit lost at one time or another when trying to select a hotel for an upcoming trip. And who hasn't been been occasionally disappointed by a hotel room that didn’t live up to the impression it made when you originally booked the reservation? We'll talk to cofounders of TVtrip.com and find out their innovative solution for selecting the right hotel each and every time.

Among the other experts in travel joining me this week is Jan Dvorak, president of Travisa Outsourcing and Travisa Visa Services. He is an entrepreneur and the ultimate example of the American dream. After immigrating from Eastern Europe to the United States in 1978, Jan devoted himself to guiding travelers through visa and passport and other needed documentation processes.

Frommer's VP, Rob Flynn tells us why books are still a traveler's best resource and identifies the guidebooks that are the current best sellers indicating this season's destination hotspots!

Our colleague and good friend in the travel media business, Thomas Steinmetz,  publisher  of eTurboNews, will also be joining us this week to talk about his hectic schedule of exotic travel including his recent trips to South Korea and Lebanon and this upcoming journey to Iran later this week. Don't miss this real life adventure story!

During this week's radio program we will also introduce you to Madam Executive Chef Vania Almeida from the Second Story restaurant at the Belamar Hotel. You will see why we recommend this hip, enchanting luxury boutique hotel and Chef Vania's restaurant just one mile from the beach and minutes from Los Angeles International.

We look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday this week where we will share time with good friends and family, eat delicious food and celebrate our many varied cultures. This is a very special Thanksgiving for us as we celebrate with Native American Indians, Native Hawaiians, the Chinese leaders of San Francisco and ultimately you. We will be filming our experiences and bringing you more on this special Thanksgiving celebration in San Francisco, California.

We thank you for allowing us into your office, home, car radio, cell phone, TV or computer and sharing our programming with others. If you miss the Sunday broadcast, no worries, the archives will be up shortly after the broadcast.

Safe travels and until next week,
Sandy Dhuyvetter
