His contribution to raising the visibility of cultural awareness and etiquette for international travelers is second to know one. From Negril Jamaica, Sharon Parris-Chambers, President of Positive Tourism Limited and Co-Founder/Executive Director Resort/Day Spa & International Medical Spa Associations, Caribbean Chapters. From NYC, Naima Remadi will join Sandy from the Tunisian Cultural Center in NYC where National Tunisian Day is in full swing. Mme Remadi is the Director of the Tunisian Cultural Center. Today's show is filled with informative and entertaining guests from New York to California and Jamaica to Tunisia.

We're also celebrating New Orleans this week as we pack our bags and get ready to broadcast live from the Big Easy at the French Quarter Festival Sunday April 13, 2008

I know you will enjoy our program music, written and performed  by Porterhouse Boband his band. He is a brilliant musician and represents a sound that is compelling and oh so New Orleans.  We will be filling the program with 'bumper' music by Porterhouse Bob as he strum up his style of New Orleans barrel house blues. You'll get to meet this snake eating, varmint kissing musician during the second segment, so be sure to stop by to listen online or at one of our hundreds of radio stations broadcasting TravelTalkRADIO around the world.

We've also invited Mary Beth Romig, Director of the New Orleans Conventions and Visitors Bureau (NOCVB), to talk about the upcoming 25th anniversary of the French Quarter Festival. If you can join us at the world's largest Jazz Brunch, we'd be delighted. Our long time sponsor, Southwest Airlines, has added many flights into New Orleans. And please remember, visiting New Orleans is much more than a personally rewarding trip. You will help this beautiful, historic community to help themselves. Tourism is at the heart of economic wealth for many destinations, New Orleans benefits from every visitor. Please come to New Orleans at least once this year.

During the program, you'll also meet Keith Reinhard, who was just inducted this week into the Advertising Hall of Fame. This is the most prestigious award bestowed in the advertising industry honoring individuals who have raised the standard for advertising excellence. Keith is also the founder of Business for Diplomatic Action, an organization that promotes changing negative perceptions of the American image and building new bridges with key foreign constituents through business-led initiatives. We'll discuss the USA and it's lackluster performance in attracting visitors and what some of the solutions are for this poor performance.

We'll then turn our attention to National Tunisia Day and Mme Naima Remadi, the Director of Tunisia Cultural Center to talk about why Tunisia is a model country that celebrates the diversity of it's citizens and honors it's women. We will also check out Jamaica and its revolutionary lead in the health and tourism industry and you'll meet one of our dear friends and colleagues, Sharon Parris-Chambers, who will discuss the Caribbean and her role at Positive Tourism. And Dr. Peter Tarlow will stop by to talk about his work in the security and safety and how he helps solve problems for destinations when bad things happen in good places.

So go grab a cup of coffee or whatever you pleasure and join me as we celebrate travel from around the world.

Happy Travels!

Sandy Dhuyvetter
