Welcome to this Week's TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter

Thank you for joining us. This week's TravelTalkRADIO program is one of our best, as we offer our audiences a look into all aspects of travel. This  show's content is all about transportation

systems, tours and entertainment as well as the psychology of why we travel. I look forward to connecting our audiences to these travel experts as we continue celebrating the Year of the Motorcoach. We will  broadcast additional programming from the American Bus Association Marketplace in Charlotte and from our studios in Southern California. Our guests include Judith Selleck, Director of Marketing for the Heritage Museums and Gardens in Cape Cod, Gaetan Bolduc, President and CEO of Prevost Car, Inc., Coach Manufacturer of the Setra, Yvonne Erickson, motorcoach tour operator and Owner of Supreme Travel, George McGlothin, General Manager of Falcon Rest ("Tennessee's Biltmore"), and Stephanie Lee, CEO of Group Sales Box Office together with her father, legendary producer and entertainer, Ronnie Lee.

Joining us from From Australia are, Michelle O'Byrne, Minister of Tourism for Tasmania "the land DOWN UNDER the Down Under," and Shana Pereira, Regional Director of the Americas for Tourism Queensland.

Plus, Thomas Steinmetz, Founder and Publisher of eTurboNews reports from Hawaii and don't miss very special guest, Keith Reinhard, Founder of Business for Diplomatic Action and Chairman Emeritus of DDB, Inc. We guarantee you'll be "Lovin' it!"  By the way, McDonalds has reported 55 months of profitability, and it was right about that time that Keith's company launched  the first "I'mLovin' It" campaign in Europe.

We also caught up with Ali Liaquat, the organizer of  the Africa Peace Caravan this week.

I thought you might enjoy the story of Ali's adventure on the road in Africa this week. He told me he had a challenging trip the last three days in Lake Abbe.
The pictures below speak volumes!

Ali told us that "At the beginning of the trip, it was very nice, very beautiful. 'Bivouac' under millions of  stars. But then it began to rain at 3 o'clock in the morning. Immediately there was water everywhere." They had an eight hour layover due to the storm. Then, when they started out again, within the first 400 meters, they got completely stuck in the mud and were blocked for more than 48 hours! Now, he says, "It's ok." From the photos below, it looks as if many people worked very hard to free the caravan's biggest truck. I can only think of one thing now that is it over: " 'Where's the nearest car wash?"

Good to hear from you Ali!

Go to the African Peace Caravan - there will be more pictures loaded on the site this week. We will keep you updated! (Notice the large TravelTalkMEDIA sticker right under the back window!)

Africa Peace Caravan!
Their goal is to journey throughout Africa until they reach the opening of the Africa Travel Association 34th Congress in Cairo May 2009

The Africa Peace Caravan
Web site is filled with information about
the journey.

TravelTalkMEDIA‘s weekly Newsletter is entering its 5th year of circulation. Thank you to all of our 25,000 subscribers. This year, expect big new changes at TravelTalkMEDIA as we get ready to ratchet it up with many new programs. One of our most meaningful series is the new programming celebrating emerging countries with the launch of our First Ladies Tours to be seen on TV everywhere in the world in 2009.

We also want to welcome to our family of products and recommended services the Chef's Challenge from Northern Michigan April 22- 24, 2009. We will be getting the organizer on TravelTalkRADIO next week  to talk about Northern Michigan and what to expect at this spring's 2nd annual Chef's Challenge. We have invited Michigan State Governor, Jennifer Granholm, to join us on TravelTalkRADIO to talk about tourism in Michigan and the growth in film development in the state.

Welcome to Adout International, a company that offers talented, bright and wonderfully energetic interns to American businesses. Why not share the culture and expertise in your office by bringing in educated young people from France to intern for 3 to 18 months. We did it at TravelTalkMEDIA and had a ball. Everyone benefited and, even two years after the returned home, we still regard our Belgian interns as one of the best decisions we've made while developing our business.

Safe travels and we'll catch up again next week.

Warm regards,
Sandy Dhuyvetter
