"Sandy, you're not going to get away without my thanking you for getting the message out, for being a channel where people can actually learn about what tourism means and especially during this decade of peace and the decade of the cultural peace by the United Nations...that tourism can become a partner in building a culture of peace for the world and hopefully that message will go out in 2009."
Dr. Noel Brown,
Chairman International Institute for Peace Through Tourism and
President of Friends of the United Nations.

Dr. Brown will be joining Sandy on her first show of the New Year, this week, Jan 4, 2009. Don't miss this very interesting program.

Welcome to this week's TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter
Thank you for starting the new year with us . We are committed to bringing you the news from the experts in the travel and lifestyle and we look forward to serving our audiences again in 2009 with relevant stories in tourism and travel.

Nothing better than a new suit of clothes unless, of course, it's a new year and a fresh look at the opportunities laying ahead. Even with the bad economic news of 2008 still on our minds, the turn of the year offers us, if nothing else, the illusion of closing the door with the worst behind us.

We choose to be hopeful with an eye to the future and new opportunities that await us.  We are tremendously excited about 2009. We realize that challenges lay ahead for all of us, but we have learned that fear only gets in the way when you take your eyes off the road. On that note, we are looking forward to getting back on the road and bringing our audiences the good news of motorcoach travel with our live broadcast next week in Charlotte, North Carolina at the American Bus Association Marketplace.

Again, Happy New Year, safe travels and until next week,

Sandy Dhuyvetter
Executive Producer and Host TravelTalkMEDIA Radio and TV

The American Bus Association publishes a monthly Newsletter called the Insider
This month Insider highlights Sandy Dhuyvetter with Q & A

ABA: When many others are just starting to notice the resurgence of coach travel, what made TravelTalkMEDIA confident it would happen?
SD: I’ve watched throughout the years as the image of the motorcoach has transformed from solely a transportation system to one of tourists realizing motorcoaches are cool, relevant and produce memorable  experiences. It was a matter of time, or as I like to put it, a vortex has formed and I believe we now have a perfect storm. We have socially open and ready travelers, economically it is a good choice and the value doesn’t get better, the products are better than ever, and in safety, the motorcoach has got it hands down over any other
transportation system. We believe it is only going to get better. Continued HERE
