Welcome to the TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter

I am particularly proud of our programming today as it continues to remind me that our partners like ITMI are the best in the world. I had the opportunity this week to attend a graduation of the International Tour Management Institutes newest class in San Francisco. I had already met them as an instructor a few days earlier and was taken with their collective youthful spirit and genuine appreciation for the opportunity to attend ITMI. I walked into the graduation and faced a room full of soon to be alumni of every age and every background with bright smiles, all in their Sunday best. The vibration suggested each of them knew they are the future ambassadors of travel, and in fact it was more than knowing. I sensed they truly believed that they were in a special place at a special time.

Sandy instructing the ITMI Trafficking Awareness Class

Hats off to Ted Bravos and his teachers and staff, they injected this class like they have over the past 36 years with compassion and a sense of pride for accomplishing a grueling two weeks of education and hands on experience. The pot of gold at the end of this journey is not the certificate that tells the world they are a certified tour director, but rather the ability to go into the world and help build bridges of understanding and exchange. Congratulations Class #281

This week we say another hello to our adventures in the Seychelles with guests like Nick Watson and Jean-Marc Michel. Next week we head towards Berlin for ITB, one of the tour and travel industries most important exhibits in the world. There we will present our efforts in supporting human trafficking awareness training and the work Airline Ambassadors continues to perform around the world.

Directly after working with our friends from around the world in Berlin, we head to Antwerp Belgium for a little R & R where we meet with Vantage Deluxe Travel and take the maiden voyage of one of the companies new ships. More on this soon. For now, we still bask in the glow of our travels to the Seychelles for Carnaval de Victoria. I have a feeling the celebration will not end this week! Have a great week.

Happy Travels and thanks for joining us,

Welcome to TravelTalkRADIO

When I heard that my nieces husband, Steve had decided to go to Vietnam where he was being tasked to bring a school to complete accreditation, I was impressed. I was also anxious to hear how the family would adjust and how they would keep in touch. As a retired high school principal who had kept spent most of his travels enjoying resorts and cruises, it was obvious that Vietnam would be a life changing experience. Susan joins me in the 2nd segment to talk about her husbands work and her first trip to see him this past month.

Thanks for joining us! Buckle your seatbelt for another informative program!

Undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful areas in the world

Imagine living in the most stunning surroundings and couple that with managing a 5 star resort that offers the best in accommodations and dining. That is exactly what Jean-Marc does in the Seychelles. A remarkable leader that is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and work with his team in all aspects of creating an excellent experience for the guest.

As a journalist, Sandy was working with many cameras in the streets as Carnaval became reality. During a long day of camera work and interviews in the streets of Victoria, Sandy could not help but notice that Jean-Marc personally handed out water to each of the journalist. They all agreed that they had never been treated by a GM with so much compassion, everyday it was like being handed gold. Thank you Mr. Michel!
