Welcome to this week's TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter

This Sunday, from TravelTalkRADIO's NY studio JOHN JOHNSON joins the program to talk about  Kosovo's Independence Day, which could be any moment. Special guest this week is TONY WILLIAMS, VP of Emirates Hotels & Resorts headquartered in Dubai. Also on board are TILLIE FOSTER from the San Nicolas Hotel in Ensenada, Mexico, CHRISTOPHER BLIN, Author of Swimming to Angola, and on the road to ski nirvana in Tahoe with travel writer, NICK GOSLING. PATRICK PEARTREE will be filling us in on TravelTalkMEDIA's latest announcements and up-coming travels.

Our special guest, Mr. TONY WILLIAMS, VP of Emirates Hotel and Resorts will share with us the story of Emirates and the expansion of the brand from airlines to resorts from Dubai to Australia.

Eco travel and Dubai tourism, an oxymoron? Maybe not!  Tony Williams will also share the story of Al Maha with us, an award winning exclusive Emirates hotel designed to resemble a traditional Bedouin encampment - Set within a 25 square kilometer desert conservation reserve just 45 minutes outside of Dubai. I will be meeting Tony in Dubai in early May at the Arabian Travel Market. I am anxious to see some of the properties and share with you via our television cameras more information on the Emirates Hotels and Resorts.

JOHN JOHNSON will also be joining us to congratulate the newest country in the world - Kosovo! Declaring independence any moment is this little country with a big heart and a big opportunity for tourism. John was called the "Father of privatization" in Kosovo when he worked as a specialist in privatizing businesses for several years. John's insight into the region will help you evaluate its readiness for tourism.

Dear friend, TILLIE FOSTER, long time resident of Ensenada Mexico is joining us to talk about South of the Border and the new look of the San Nicolas Hotel in downtown Ensenada. By the way, if you want to eat good, feel good and swim in the largest pool in Ensenada, try the San Nicolas Hotel. I will be giving away two nights at this fun hotel on the program, so don't be shy when I ask you to email during the TravelTalkRADIO program.

TravelTalkRADIO has been celebrating authors for over 7 years. If you go to our bookstore at www.TravelTalkRADIO.com/book.html, you will find every book from every author that I have had the honor to interview. This week we are going to talk with CHRISTOPHER BLIN, author of Swimming to Angola. The book is a gregarious look at how to help improve Third World conditions and I am looking forward to talking to Christopher. I have been to Angola and I am curious why he named his book Swimming to Angola. We'll find out on this week's program!

Our newest travel writer to join the TravelTalkMEDIA team is NICK GOSLING. We found Nick many years ago on the east coast and we watched as he learned the magic of the pen from his mother, star reporter Mary Gosling. Nick is carrying on the family tradition of writing and is now learning the hooks of the travel industry. We turned Nick loose on Tahoe a few weeks ago and he came back with tremendous material, a worn out snow board and a note on our phone to say he is moving to California. That's the spirit Nick! Walk the talk and put your travelin' shoes on. There's always room at the Inn here.

Patrick and I are headed for NYC in two weeks and we will be bringing you more information on Africa and Mongolia. We'll also cruise the New York Times Travel Show and let you know what's hot in travel on the East Coast.

Safe travels,

Sandy
