Welcome to this week's TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter

Congratulations to us all!

We got through one of the most challenging years ever. A year filled with economic woes, environmental warnings, a long war, a mega list of scandalous activity against the trusting public and the loss of so many wonderful people.

Even with solutions and answers not yet clearly in sight, it seems unanimous from the results of our own small poll that 2009 is looked upon with hope and anticipation of a healthy change.

We also welcome a healthy attitude adjustment about travel in 2009 and to continuing to spread the good word of its positive effect on world peace and economic abundance. In fact, we will ring in 2009 with our very first guest, Dr. Noel Brown, who will speak to us about responsible tourism and the work of the International Institute of Peace through Tourism.

This week's show is our last program of 2008 and we'll take some time to have fun with unscripted and spontaneous calls to friends in the travel and tourism industry to wish them a Happy New Year and, of course, totally catch them off guard!

Thomas Steinmetz, Founder and Publisher of eTurboNews,  will also talk to us about his recent visit to Iran and why Iran chose the

In fact, you can listen to the Vice President of Islamic Republic of Iran, Estandyar Mashaee, Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization Chief makes opening remarks to the Congress about Iranian tourism HERE.

This week, we will also talk about the phenomenal popularity and growth of the motorcoach industry with American Bus Association's (ABA) President, Peter Pantuso. We are planning our live broadcast Jan 11, 2009 from Charlotte, North Carolina at the ABA's annual Marketplace and we look forward to highlighting the Top 100 events and other group travel products being introduced at the event.

Happy New Year, safe travels and until next week,
