Peace Lamps in the Holy Land
Father Raed Abusahlia
, Director of the Olive Branch Foundation and Peace Lamps in the Holy Land located in Taybeh, Palestine.
We travel to a 2000+ year-old village on the hills high above Jerusalem where we encounter a Christian village with major Biblical ties to Jesus Christ. We’ll also meet a saintly man devoting his life to peace and harmony in the Holy Land. Genius meets necessity in this quintessential quest a better world.  Continued

Delicious Beer in the Holy Land
Nadim Khoury
, General Director of the Taybeh Brewing Company in Palestine
This charismatic Palestinian entrepreneur began his career experimenting with a microbrew kit in his dormitory room at Boston College in Massachusetts. From there it was on to the University of California at Davis to learn the fine art and science of brewing a truly great beer on a production scale. The result: Taybeh Beer, the one and only native beer in the state of Palestine.

Rex in New Orleans

Arthur Hardy, Publisher of the annual Mardi Gras Guide
After five generations, some folks in Louisiana really have a good understanding of why New Orleanians don’t need a reason for a parade. Listen in and you’ll get to meet the undisputed Grand Rex of Mardi Gras. You’ll also find out why it’s so difficult to get a ticket to the next jazz funeral in town! Continued

Notes From the Literary Side of Travel
Dan Schlossberg, President of the North American Travel Journalists Association
If you have any inkling whatsoever of becoming a travel writer, this is absolutely an interview you should not miss! Continued

Star of Bethlehem
Jack Elias
, Founder and Owner of the Bethlehem Star Hotel in Bethlehem, Palestine
Uniquely situated on the highest point in Bethlehem with a spectacular view of the Church of the Nativity, the Star is our hotel of choice in the true heart of Palestine. The owner, Jack Elias, is a special man and keeper of the modern “Inn at Bethlehem.” In this multi-faceted and uniquely historical town, we see all manner of Christians, Moslems, and Jews living together in daily harmony. You can be assured that Jack will find room for you and your group any time of year. May we all find peace and perfect happiness together in the coming year! Happy Holidays and all the best in 2010! Continued

The Breezes Brand

Sam James, Vice President of Operations for Breezes Resorts, Eastern Jamaica.

Sam gives us the scoop on why and how SuperClubs chose to consolidate several of its resort brands under one, unified brand: Breezes. We really love the new name but, in all honesty, we just want to spend a week at a super-inclusive Breezes resort no matter what you call it! Continued

We will continue our coverage of Palestine into next week's program. Today after the programming, we are headed for Nablus and Jericho for several days and then to Jerusalem. We would like to give a special thanks for the hard work and dedication by Travel Agent Richard Elias at Golden Gate Tours and Travel out of Bethlehem and our guide from the Holy Land Trust, Rafat Rishmawi.

Just a reminder, we launched our RSS Newsfeed offering up-to-the-minute business travel news from around the world. The daily newsfeed is available at the BusinessTravelRADIO site.  If you have news, please send your information to programming@traveltalkmedia.com.
