Welcome to this week's TravelTalkMEDIA Newsletter
Thank you for joining me this week. It's always fun when we can work in our own backyard and this week we are doing just that! San Diego is the host of the National Business Association's 2009 Annual  International Convention and Exposition and, for the next 4 days, the city welcomes thousands of delegates from all over the world.

We have always felt that business travelers are the true road warriors of modern society. Because of their relentless drive, their pioneering spirit and their willingness to go where only the most adventurous dare tread, the leisure traveler has greatly benefited. 'Road Warriors' have not only developed the destinations, they have defined and delineated travel processes, technologies and security systems that we, as leisure travelers enjoy each day.

Please join me this week and next week as we celebrate the experts in Business Travel and Lifestyle.

Sandy will be in San Diego this week.

Now for a closer look at this week's program and featured experts on TravelTalkRADIO. The live broadcast is from 9-11AM Pacific Time every Sunday and the archives are always available directly after the programming.

Josef Woodman - Author of Patients Beyond Borders
International Hospital Accreditation Skyrockets 1,000%
In the last five years, the number of JCI (Joint Commission International) accredited public and private hospitals around the world has increased by nearly 1,000%. Up from a mere 27 hospitals and health care organizations with that accreditation in 2004, currently over 250 such entities in 36 countries have now been accredited by the JCI. This extremely high standard of “American accreditation” now instills a new level of confidence in US citizens seeking affordable health care alternatives abroad. With the US Congress currently locked in a fierce battle over how to solve the national health care crisis, Josef Woodman, author of Patients Beyond Borders, joins Sandy Dhuyvetter on TravelTalkRADIO to discuss this extraordinarily relevant trend.

Ken Carver - President of the International Cruise Victims Association
New Cruise Law About to Set Sail
The Cruise Vessel Safety and Security Act has been opposed by the cruise industry for years, but after the valiant efforts of Senator John Kerry and Congresswoman Doris Matsui, the International Cruise Line Association has finally seen the light and agreed to support this initiative. The law is a great start in providing some much needed safety and security provisions to protect passengers, but this is only one small step in taming the Wild, Wild Seas. Ken Carver, President of the International Cruise Victims Association, sits down with TravelTalkRADIO’s Executive Producer and Host, Sandy Dhuyvetter to explain why.

After 28 years with the US State Department, Rob talked at length with TravelTalkRADIO host, Sandy Dhuyvetter, about US relations with Morocco.
