"It’s easy to see why Travel Talk Radio is the #1 Sunday show on 760 KFMB. Sandy and her team are first of class in providing listeners an informative and entertaining program. People are listening. The www.calmaglev.com Web site experienced an immediate uptick in visitors after Sandy’s interview on the high-speed maglev system being planned for Southern California."

President of Albert Perdon & Associates / Executive Director of the Orange Line Development Authority

H A P P Y    A N N I V E R S A R Y    T r a v e l T a l k R A D I O - 7 Years!
Seven years ago, on August 16, 2001, TravelTalkRADIO broadcast for the first time.
We were one of the first regularly scheduled conventional radio broadcasts to stream online worldwide over the Internet and we were doing this years before podcasting became the rage. Our satellite delivery to traditional radio stations and our Internet streaming and podcasting availability will be enhanced with the advent of WiMAX (long range WiFi). The result will be that TravelTalkMEDIA's radio and TV programming will be available wirelessly on a global basis!
Please join us this Sunday to celebrate. THIS WEEK'S PROGRAMMING CLICK HERE

Always love to find these kinds of stories. We'd like to thank Don Meador, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Landmark Hotel Group in Virginia Beach, VA.

On his Get A Room!  blog dated August 05, 2008, Don had this to say about TravelTalkMEDIA

Um...Why Didn't I Think of That?
By Don Meador

TravelTalkRADIO provides travel-related news, information and entertainment geared toward both industry insiders as well as people who like (or have) to travel. But that's just the tip of this travel media giant's iceberg. I had a couple of run-ins with Sandy Dhuyvetter, Executive Producer and host of TravelTalkRADIO, one of the world's leading travel industry media specialists, at American Bus Association Conventions in both Grapevine, TX and in Virginia Beach, VA.

Don Meador's Blog

Her remote "studio" was hard to miss: a fun and fantastic tiki hut stationed at the entrance to the convention floor where she was giving the play-by-play and entertaining interviews with convention-goers and city officials alike as thousands of tour operators, hoteliers, and other hospitality professionals zoomed through their week-long annual Marketplace.

Being a former broadcaster and current hotel executive, I kicked myself for not coming up with this ingenius idea first as I made my way to the tiki hut to shake this woman's hand. As busy as I know remote broadcasts can be, she was both accommodating and gracious, and shared with me a little about her travels, and how this media venture came to be. (As it turns out, I'm about seven years too late!)

All I can say is "Bravo." Not only does TravelTalkMEDIA produce TravelTalkRADIO, but they also produce TravelTalkTV, and issue the TravelTalkNEWSLETTER.

I know. I'm feeling a little inadequate right now, too.

While we travel bloggers are taking our thoughts and ideas to the world, TravelTalkMEDIA is doing a bang up job of covering the travel industry from all over the world. I'm fascinated by the hundreds of locations Sandy reports from, and applaud her efforts to promote the travel industry to and from the four corners of this planet. And in the midst of everything they've got going on, they announced in June that TravelTalkMEDIA has adopted a school in Tanzania and is raising funds to provide them with writing desks.

In addition, TravelTalkMEDIA provides the most comprehensive list of travel tips I've ever seen!

I know you can't see me right now, but I'm standing and applauding my computer screen. I love seeing people do great work and make time to do great things for others.

If you're not receiving the TravelTalkNEWSLETTER, I encourage you to get signed up, and check out Sandy's blog, where I dare you to try and keep up with her!

Wow, Thanks Don! Really appreciate your kind remarks! Check out Don's blog HERE
