Welcome to this
week's newsletter.

What an amazing week we had at TravelTalkMEDIA. After our programming last Sunday,
I packed up and left for Washington DC to attend a new advisory committee at the Department of Homeland Security.

I am grateful to be able to attend and contribute to a fine agency whose men and women work tirelessly to ensure our safety as we go about our daily business. It is easy to criticize governmental agencies but when you consider the incredible challenge, I hope you will join me and applaud the hard work and determination of the DHS.  DC in the summertime is warm and the living is easy. I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Arlington and can't say enough about it. Wow, beautiful, elegant and affordable are the adjectives I would use.

Directly after the meeting I flew from Reagan National Airport to Las Vegas to meet with the Silver State Helicopter founder, Jerry Airola. Silver State is the largest helicopter training company in the world. Click on the link above and have a ball. Silver State Helicopters is one of the fastest growing companies in the United States. You'll continue to hear more about this dynamic company as they continue their journey to stardom, lead by a team of brilliant innovators.

Stratosphere,
Las Vegas
Thank You
!

After a wonderful afternoon at the Silver State Helicopters headquarters, we adjourned for a fabulous dinner at the Top of the World Restaurant at the Stratosphere Hotel. Having dinner at the roof top of the highest building between the West Coast and the Mississippi is a once in a lifetime experience. The view of the city was eye candy magnified to the hundredth degree.  You can't get a better aerial view of Las Vegas except maybe from a helicopter, and you might need to pinch yourself,
it is magnificent.

It didn't stop there, Patrick was wonderful enough to meet me in Vegas and we in
turn left early Thursday after our meeting with Silver State Helicopters and drove directly to Yosemite Village where we met with over 60 destinations and services including the National Parks staff to talk about our programming. We had a warm welcoming and spent some quality time with the audiences. We thoroughly enjoyed the seven and a half hour road trip from Vegas to the Yosemite Valley. Even though we spent less than 3 hours in the Village, it was an opportunity to see once again
the beauty of this incredible wonder of nature.

We left directly after our presentation in Yosemite and made it back to San Diego by Thursday night at 10:30. That's my kind of week. We met with some incredibly interesting people and we are able to see some of the most wonderful scenery anywhere. As always. I am very excited to share with you the marvels of travel.

I hope you can take some time and look at our guest list this week. Our goal is to connect you to the movers and shakers in travel and this week is no exception.

Safe Travels!
