Welcome to this week's TravelTalkMEDIA newsletter.  LIVE from New Orleans at the 25th Anniversary of the French Quarter Festival.

Join us as we take you to New Orleans this week on TravelTalkRADIO! This vibrant city is alive and healthy with over 400,000 visitors this weekend celebrating the French Quarter Festival.

Sandy and Uncle Louie taking a stroll down famous Bourbon Street

We arrived in New Orleans this week to produce our live radio show and shoot footage for TravelTalkTV. It's all about music, food and the good people of New Orleans. And did I mention, admission to the festival is free!

Our dear friends, the Fein family, who own the Court of Two Sisters restaurant, have prevailed along with the entire city of New Orleans during the post Katrina era. This week Jerry Fein will join the show to talk about the history of Court of Two Sisters.

The NATCHEZ Riverboat

TravelTalkTV is producing new programming during the weekend of festivities. The famous Natchez riverboat in the New Orleans port is
the backdrop for one of the segments.

The French Quarter Festival is a love fest with New Orleans that includes art, music, food and tons of southern hospitality. Don't miss a trip to the Big Easy. Southwest Airlines serves the area with affordable daily flights.

This trip we stayed at the Embassy Suites, a short walk from the French Quarter. With their complimentary breakfast and cocktails in the evening, this hotel is a great value.

At t
he Central Grocery (home of the original muffuletta), business is bustling with orders for its famous sandwich that has the influences of Italian and Creole cooking. Order one your way with choices of pork, beef or vegetarian. Each variety is unbelievably good. You’ll find your new love affair with the muffuletta, which will inspire you to search for this New Orleans signature dish when you return home. Our research shows it’s just about impossible to locate a true muffuletta outside the New Orleans area, so savor the experience. Try this great site for more information on the muffuletta.
Thanks for joining us.
Safe travels.
