Welcome to the TravelTalkRADIO newsletter. With our vacation behind us, we feel refreshed and ready to seize the day. We sincerely hope you all can take advantage of a few days rest from whatever you are doing. Recreation does recreate you entire being.

April 2005 - Sandy and the TravelTalkNEWS team traveled to Macau to participate in the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) annual convention. While in Macau, Sandy met personally with PATA President and CEO, Peter de Jong and several members of his staff. Then it was off to Bangkok, Thailand where Sandy moderated a panel of airline experts at the 2005 Airline Distribution conference sponsored by the Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) Owned by 15 of the world's largest air carriers, UATP is the world’s oldest credit card issuer even pre-dating Diners Club, American Express, VISA and all the rest. UATP handles nearly $10B a year in credit transactions for its member airlines. Sandy interviewed several airline executives at the UATP conference including Horst Findeisen of Star AllianceJeff Foster, President of Retail Decisions and Kevin O'Toole, Editor of Airline Business Magazine. Sandy also interviewed Tony Davis, CEO of Tiger Airways and Ellen Keszler, President of Corporate Solutions for SABRE Holdings and Travelocity. To listen to their interviews, Click HERE. Next stop was Beijing where Sandy and team were hosted media and provided coverage of the Beijing International Travel and Tourism Market Many experts predict that China will be the wealthiest economy in the world within the next ten years and the country is becoming a huge market for both inbound and outbound travel. While in Beijing, Sandy also met with Sujit Chowdhuy, President and CEO of the World Trade University who extended an invitation to become global partners with WTU and the World Tourism University, currently under construction in Nanjing. JOIN TravelTalkRADIO Monday May 23 in San Francisco at the: Quateman Gig to Benefit PATA Foundation Tsunami Fund.

Singer songwriter Bill Quateman  will perform a PATA Foundation "4 All Of Us" Tsunami Recovery Benefit Concert at the Biscuits & Blues restaurant and bar in San Francisco, CA. 
Earlier this year, Mr Quateman produced a special edition CD entitled "4 All Of Us" to honour the memory of the victims of the December 26, 2004 Indian Ocean quake and tsunami. Partial proceeds from the sale of the CD go to the PATA Foundation Tsunami Recovery Fund to help rebuild the lives and livelihoods of the survivors.
     Tickets for the May 23 concert are US$20 each if booked in advance from or US$25 at the door.

Beginning Sunday May 29 TravelTalkRADIO will begin broadcasting 2 hours of weekly LIVE radio programming from noon to 2pm EASTERN time to all conventional radio stations through our new distribution partner in Florida, TA:LKSTAR. Using fiber optics and satellite retrieval, any authorized radio station in the world can now pick up our programming direct from these state-of-the-art transmission feeds..

The last few months we have added two stations in San Francisco Bay area with great results: KABL 92.1 FM and KABL 1460AM.The KABL networks owned by Clear Channel Communications have shown us incredible professionalism in both the technology they support (we are light years ahead of most radio programming) and their capability to serve our needs  as we travel to countries around the world.
